- To push down the wishbone and othersuspension parts, e.g. during thedisassembly of the drive shaft, duringreplacing the gaiter or exchange of thewheel bearing
- After loosening the ball joint thewishbone must in most cases be pusheddown against the bush or stabilisertension, in order to pull the joint fromthe support
